Nov 15, 2023 · Best Time To Visit The Albanian Riviera. The Albanian Riviera is full of tourists during July and August when the weather is the warmest. (It averages around 28 to 30 °C during the day and 18 to 20 °C at night.) But given that Albania’s peak season sees lesser crowds than other European countries, the masses won’t make much of a difference.
Sarande wasnt that beautiful but the crystal clear water of Ksamil was really worth to visit. I took a little boat to a little island in Ksamil and spend my day there and it was much better with less People and noise. (We paid 15 euros per person for this boat and island) I used bus between the cities and buses in Albania were like hell.
Albania is commonly thought of here as a dangerous backwater, where you'll be abducted or robbed at daylight. "I'd never go there" is a common sentiment. One of the reasons for that is the fact that in the past a few Czech tourists have been killed or gone missing in Albania. But I've started seeing a lot of people saying they vacation in Albania.Jun 28, 2023 · 2019 - Albania is hit by the strongest earthquake to affect the country in more than 40 years, with 51 people killed and about 3,000 injured. Romania is safe however it depends where you wander off to. Like any other place it has good parts and bad ones. A local or person who lived in the country for a significant time and knows details can sort it out for you. Stay safe and have a pelasnat journey if you wish to and succeed to visit.
Imo dont waste time on Tirana, id say a night i ln Vlora, more days on Dhermi, 2 days on Gjirokastra and try to visit Përmet within a day. You can visit ksamil from saranda, its like 10 min away and theres not much to do there in the evening unless you'd like to have a proper walk (30-40min probably) near the sea.I am planning on doing roughly 5/20-5/28 in Albania, starting from Tirana and making my way down the coast, ending in Sarande to take the ferry to Corfu, fly to Paris from there to visit a friend/end my trip. I'm fascinated by Albania and love the idea of visiting an off-the-beaten-path country. Edinburgh is a tourist city, night life is a bit quieter but the place is beautiful and the castle's lovely. You mentioned nature/outdoors kinda travel and I can't stress enough to visit Skye, it's arguably the most stunning place in Scotland. Honestly, visiting Scotland and not exploring the isles is a missed opportunity. I spent 3 weeks in the balkans this summer and it was amazing. For Bosnia - 2 nights in Mostar is plenty (could even be done in 1 night), outside of the old town there isn’t much to do. Stay at Tasos house (great hostel) and do
Kosovo being way more advanced in infrastructure compared to Albania. And Kosovo is a new country compared to Albania so it was unexpected to see the difference. Some parts in Albania looked like the ghettos in like Brazil or Ecuador lol very surprising. The beaches in Albania are breathtakingly gorgeous, so I give them credit for that.
My wife is from Macedonia so I have seen quite a bit of it. Ohrid is lovely, going there in a couple of months. Just outside of Skopje is a beautiful canyon called Matka where you can go kayaking and exploring caves, definitely worth a visit. Berovo on the other side is also a very beautiful town up in the mountains, this is where we got married.
